
Timothy Krater, DO, is a pediatric rehabilitation medicine attending physician with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Instructor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Oakland University-William Beaumont Hospital. He then completed his fellowship training in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center. Dr. Krater focuses his clinical care on caring for and improving quality of life of individuals with functional limitations. He is actively involved with Early Detection of Cerebral Palsy and is passionate about increasing multidisciplinary options for under-resourced populations. His philosophy for medical care is to guide patients to develop the skills and supports to access their communities, to build a life within their communities and to live as independently as possible.
