
Dr. Ana-Marie Rojas, MD, is an attending physician in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, Illinois. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Rojas specializes in pediatric rehabilitation, focusing on conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, limb differences, spasticity, and gait disorders.
Dr. Rojas earned her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation at NYU Medical School. She further specialized with a Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She is board-certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation.
In her clinical role, Dr. Rojas collaborates with multidisciplinary teams—including neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, engineers, and therapists—to develop innovative treatments in pediatric rehabilitation. She serves as the Co-Medical Director of the Motion Analysis Center and as the Program Director of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Dr. Rojas is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has co-authored multiple chapters in the fields of stroke, limb deficiency, and spinal cord pathology.
