Dear Community Partner,
We are excited to have approved budget to support you as a true partner in our research. For our initial foray into compensation, we will be using a rate of $30 per hour. For Community Action Committee members, compensation will cover the time in meetings or reviewing recordings along with voting on concepts. For community partners engaging in research or quality improvement project, we will compensate at the same rate. Below is a form for you to consider how you would like to be paid. Please note that there are tax ramifications for compensation exceeding $600 annually that we are required to report using a form 1099. If you are on disability, you need to consider your level of compensation if any. We welcome volunteers as well as it leaves us more money to reach additional community partners to engage in research.
