Cerebral palsy is lifelong. Research must be, too.
Legacy gifts provide long-term stability that allows the CP Research to sustain collaborative research, strengthen data infrastructure, support early detection and adult care initiatives, and accelerate evidence-based care across the lifespan and translating these findings into meaningful resources and tools for the community.
By joining the Cerebral Palsy Society, you become part of a community committed to a future where every person with CP benefits from coordinated, personalized, research-driven care.
Why Legacy Giving Matters
Progress in CP research requires long horizons.
Discovery takes time. Implementation takes persistence. Impact spans decades.
Legacy commitments allow the CP Research Network to:
- Sustain national research collaboration
- Maintain and expand longitudinal data systems
- Support multi-center clinical research
- Advance early detection and precision approaches
- Train and mentor the next generation of CP investigators
Your legacy strengthens the foundation beneath every breakthrough.
How to Join
You may join the Cerebral Palsy Society by including the CP Research Network in your estate plans through:
- A bequest in your will or living trust
- A beneficiary designation (retirement account, IRA, life insurance policy, or donor-advised fund)
- A charitable trust or other planned gift
There is no minimum gift amount. Every commitment — regardless of size — represents belief in a stronger future for people with cerebral palsy.
Once you have included the CP Research Network in your plans, simply notify us by completing a brief, non-binding Legacy Intent Form so we may thank you and welcome you as a member.

We encourage you to consult with your attorney or financial advisor when making estate planning decisions.
