CAC Commitment

Community Action Committee Requirements

  1. Attend our semi-annual updates by phone/zoom.
  2. Respond to our emails.
    (Emails may sometimes ask for members to review surveys or content that researchers are preparing to launch or to help recruit peers with CP to assist us with completing surveys.)
  3. Take our annual survey if you are eligible, i.e., either an adult of the parent of minor with CP.
    (These surveys allow you to make a difference by contributing your lived experience to our ongoing body of research.)
  4. Allow us to interview you for a CP Story or gather information about you for one or more of our social media platforms.
    (We will share your experience with CP and your interest in the work of our organization.)
You must choose one or more of these engagement activities

We will provide training on these activities to make them more enjoyable and effective.

* In 2025, we are raising the Community Action Committee’s visibility and authority by providing an opportunity to review new study concepts with our investigators and to vote on whether to advance these ideas and encouraging the participation in studies or QI efforts. The reviews will be virtual and can be reviewed as a recording within five days of the presentation to give you time to vote. Presentations of new concepts are 20 minutes in length. There will be between 10-20 concept reviews each year.
