The Research CP webinar series will include webinars that explain patient registries, patient reported outcome measures, quality improvement and explain how patient-centered clinical trial design is used to conduct comparative effectiveness research. The series will also review the state of publicly funded CP research, existing collaborative research networks and how quality improvement initiatives for CP are currently being evaluated and implemented to change treatments and interventions. Each webinar will include a scientific presentation by an expert who will highlight best practices on individual topics, followed by a question and answer session. Participation in these webinars will establish a common language and a baseline level of understanding for conducting patient-centered outcomes research.

The goal of the webinar series will be to educate patients, caregivers and providers on key topics in order to eventually conduct meaningful patient-centered comparative effectiveness research in cerebral palsy. The webinars will be recorded to enable broader distribution. Below is a list of the planned webinars, speakers, time frames and learning objectives. The purpose of this webinar series is to start to engage patients and caregivers in the clinical trial design process and to ensure that everyone is prepared and confident to contribute during the Research CP workshop. CP NOW and CPRN believe that this is a necessary and crucial component for setting a patient-centered comparative effectiveness research agenda because it will ensure meaningful and thoughtful discussions during our workshop.
