Dr. Oleszek is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Surgical Tone Clinic and Rhizotomy Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has practiced at Children’s Hospital Colorado since 2002 after completing a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at University of Colorado. Her clinical interests include cerebral palsy, tone management, neuromuscular disorders, and acute flaccid myelitis, and she is active in the hospital’s Center for Gait and Movement Analysis.

Dr. Oleszek’s research has focused on tone management in children with cerebral palsy and complex management of children with neuromuscular disorders. She has participated in numerous research studies and multi-center clinical trials and has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, and book chapters. Dr. Oleszek is a member of the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and has served on several committees, including as Past-Chair of the Adaptive Sports and Recreation Committee. She is also a United States Paralympic Track & Field National Medical Classifier.
