Move for CP Research: Join us for STEPtember 2025!
We’re moving into September with purpose — and we want you to join us!
The Cerebral Palsy Research Network is partnering again this year with Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation (CPARF) to raise money for CP research. Their STEPtember program has become a global movement in the form of an inclusive and personal fitness challenge that raises critical research dollars for CP. Each year, more than $1.5 million is raised through the STEPtember program and we need those dollars to continue. Whether you walk, roll, swim, dance, or stretch, your activity counts toward a common goal: supporting groundbreaking medical research for CP and assistive technology development for the greater disability community.
This year marks STEPtember’s 10th anniversary, and our 10th anniversary as well! To celebrate and honor this milestone, our organization wants to raise $10,000 dollars or more this year towards the STEPtember program!

When you register and make a self-donation of $35 or more by August 31st, you’ll get TWO entries into the Grand Prize Vacation Giveaway. That’s right — full-on vacay mode. Beach? Mountains? Vineyards? The choice is yours. We also have special prizes for teams or individuals that raise significant donations for us!*
How do you get started?
- Register: https://www.steptember.us/join/cpresearchnetwork to register. Join as an individual, create a team of up to four people, or, if you want to form a larger “team of teams,” please email us steptember@cprn.org for help with that process.
- Choose Your Activity: The STEPtember platform supports the tracking of a broad range of physical activities, making it accessible to people of all abilities and fitness levels. Whatever way you move, you’re moving research forward.
- Download the STEPtember app in from the App Store or Google Play for easy management of your activities and fundraising.
- Track your activity starting September 1 and invite your friends and family to support your efforts.
- Stay Motivated with Weekly Challenges and Prizes
This year, participants can join weekly challenges and have the chance to win prizes throughout the month.
